Another fine forecast from the local weather readers on Saturday. But it cleared up nicely for Sunday. Now, if we can get the bays to dry out for July, we'll be in better shape. Once again, we did not start on time. I need to find a person to run registration, or do all of the Match Director stuff so that we can get registration done by 7:50 and the squads sent to their stage and ready to go at 8:00 AM. Any volunteers?

Now, turn down the volume on your speakers, I am going to yell. We had another DNF this month because the time was not recorded on Stage 4. Scorekeepers did a great job adding up the scores, but when we miss a time, that is unacceptable. Shooters, you MUST review YOUR scoresheet after the run. There is time to do this. The timers have a 10 string memory, we can retrieve your time or we will give you a reshoot. Now, you can return to your previous volume setting. 

Also, we do have a Safety Area and it will be setup on the east end of the pistol bays (by the 5-Stand). Also, if you carry concealed, please use the 200 yard range to unload before coming to the pistol bays. Just make sure that no one is downrange before you clear leather.

We had  63 shooters and 20 reshoots for a total of 83 guns. There were 41 shooters at the 8:00 squad on Sunday. That and the late start 8:30 kept the 11:00 AM squad from going off on time. Here's the breakdown by division.

We had five (5) new shooters this month: Jim Noble, Steve Bishop, Herb Smith, Mark Hepler & Gib Ingwer.

We have Crooked Creek Conservation Club applications. Ask Bill, Ed or myself for one if you are interested in joining. We hold a pistol practice on Wednesday evening starting about 4:30~5:00 PM for members.

If you want to go to one of these matches with the gang from Crooked Creek, fill out your application and send it to me with your check. That is usually how we can create a squad and keep the gang together.

Our next match will be on Sunday, July 24^th  at Crooked Creek in Hartsgrove. Setup will be on Saturday, July 23^rd starting at 1:30 PM. You can shoot one gun after setup. We'll be on the fourth Sunday the rest of the year (including July). Mark your calendars.

Signups for Sunday start at 7:30AM. We will run two (2) squads on Sunday at 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Please arrive in time to register, gear-up and be ready to shoot at 8:00AM. I will try to design the stages to keep us on schedule so that you don't have to wait for the second squad. The last squad will help with teardown.
