I don't know what that was coming down on Sunday. Felt like we were in the produce aisle most of the morning getting misted. And the forecast only called for partly cloudy on Sunday. But we did have a good turnout even if the weather was less than optimal. We had 43 shooters and 11 reshoots for a total of 54 guns.

We had three new shooters this month: Tom Bibby, Taylor Barringer and Ben Villines.

We  had two DQ's this month, an AD and a 180� violation. Both were the result of pushing it a little too fast. Know your limitations, get your hits, but most importantly, BE SAFE!

If you now see a U for your classification, then maybe your membership has lapsed for more than 60 days. USPSA has instituted a new policy. If you let your membership lapse for more than 60 days, you will lose your classification. If you want to keep your classification, please keep your membership current. Remember, if you sign up for (or renew) a USPSA membership at the match, you can shoot the match for free (that's like getting your USPSA membership for $25). For the new members, when you receive your first issue of Front Sight, use the PIN on the cover to sign up to receive e-mail notification when results are posted to the USPSA Local and Major Match results page. Our results are always posted to the USPSA Local Match Results first. It takes a little while to massage the HTML pages that come out of EzWinScore.

We also have Crooked Creek Conservation Club applications. Ask Bill, Ed or myself for one if you are interested in joining. We hold a pistol practice on Wednesday evening starting about 4:00 PM for members.

I still have Muff Sweats for sale. 1 pair is $14 and two or more are $13 each. See Atto at registration if you would like a pair or two.

Our next match will be on Sunday, October 26^th at Crooked Creek in Hartsgrove. Setup will be on Saturday, October 25^th starting at 1:30 PM. You can shoot one gun after setup. And we will continue the practice of running one classifier each match. Now, you don't have any reason not to be classified before that big match.

Signups for Sunday start at 7:30AM. We will run two (2) squads on Sunday at 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Please arrive in time to register, gear-up and be ready to shoot. I will try to design the stages to keep us on schedule so that you don't have to wait for the second squad. The last squad will help with teardown. I would like to run more squads, or at least finish faster. We purchased four (4) target paster guns this winter. All we need is for you to help reset the stage for the next shooter. I hope the target paster guns will help.

The Western PA Section Championship will be held at McDonald Sportsmen October 11 & 12, 2008. There are plenty of slots still available and the cost is reasonable ($50). So here's your chance to shoot a big match without having to drive too far. Hope to see some of you there.
