Wow, I thought running stage 5 was tough, but my right arm almost fell off entering the scores. We had 66 shooters and 10 reshoots for a total of 76 guns. A new record turnout, beating the old mark by one from last September. The Classifiers have been sent in to USPSA and I received an e-mail that they were processed on July 10th. So, those of you that needed classified should see your classification on the USPSA web site by this Sunday. Your new classification card should arrive in the mail by the end of the month. Please check your results and your USPSA number. If there are any errors, let me know right away so I can get a correction into USPSA.

We had 13 new shooters this month: Dennis Holland, Bob Martin, Tony Jankowski, John Lucas, Mark Hoffman, Tom Malinchak, Tom Revolinsky, Tony Srnick, Geoff Kotzar, Mryle Knickerbocker, Ryan Hodges, Garrett Miller and Mark Bregy. Hope the guys from Erie come back and bring a few of their friends.

Looks like I need to order more USPSA applications. We had five new members join USPSA and two renewals. When you get your new USPSA number, let me know what it is so I can update the database. If you sign up for (or renew) USPSA membership at the match, you can shoot the match for free (that's like getting your USPSA membership for $25). For the new members, when you receive your first issue of Front Sight, use the PIN on the cover to sign up to receive e-mail notification when results are posted to the USPSA Local and Major Match results page. Our results are always posted to the USPSA Local Match Results first. It takes a little while to massage the HTML pages that come out of EzWinScore.

We also have Crooked Creek Conservation Club applications. Ask Bill, Ed or myself for one if you are interested in joining. We hold a pistol practice on Wednesday evening starting about 4:00 PM for members.

Our next match will be on Sunday, August 12th at Crooked Creek in Hartsgrove. Setup will be on Saturday, August 11th starting at 1:30 PM. You can shoot one gun after setup is complete.

Signups for Sunday start at 8:00AM. We will run two squads on Sunday at 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM. Please arrive in time to get into a squad. The 11:00 AM squad will help with teardown.

Early warning for September, I will need volunteers to help setup the September 9th match on Saturday, September 8th at 4:00 PM. The club is holding the annual Clam Bake and we cannot close both of the pistol bays until after 4:00 PM and then we would have to be done shooting by 5:00 PM. So I need volunteers willing to work without getting a chance to shoot. See me at the next match or send me an e-mail. If I don't have enough help, we will have to setup on Sunday morning.
