June 2003 Newsletter

The sun came out, warmed things up and cooked at least one RO. We had a great turnout, but, only one revolver shooter showed up again. I'd like to run a revolver friendly match August 10th. Anyone who would like to design a Revolver friendly stage, or two, give it to me via e-mail or at a match and I'll try to use it.

We had 34 shooters, with 7 re-shoots this month. I'd like to welcome Kerwin Nealer, Nathan Smith and Mike Lewis.

Thanks to the setup crew of Paul Bohlken, Bruce Molnar, Mark James, Ed, Bill and Bud. Thank you to all of those that helped with teardown.

The setup for the June 29th Special Classifier will be at a special time: 6:30 PM. Bill will be there alone, unless you come out to help him. Ed and I will be in beautiful Barry, IL for the 3-Gun Nationals that weekend. If 12 people (3 per stage) show up to help Bill, you should get the match set up before dark. Classifiers need the extra help since they have to be precisely measured and laid out per the diagram. It takes more effort to get them up. Let Bill know if you can come to help.

Schedule heads up! We have Fifth Sunday matches scheduled for June 29 (Special Classifier) and August 31. There is no September match this year. I would suggest that you try Rayner's Range (3-gun match near Zanesville) on September 14th. Check our Other Places To Shoot page for more options and directions to the ranges.
